CALLING SONGWRITERS/COMPOSERS/MUSICIANS!

Lady Liberty Sings invites composer/songwriters (professional and amateur) to write music to the welcoming words on the Statue of Liberty (Give me your tired, your poor, etc., or original lyrics in support of immigrants) to record their videos and post them to the Lady Liberty Sings page on Facebook. This could be single voices, a duo, a group, kids, or a choir — likewise, any genre of music: rock, classical, jazz, country, rap, etc.

OUR GOAL: Create a unified musical protest with 1,000+ original compositions to help fund immigrant legal defense through donations to the
Defending our Neighbors Fund (created by the American Civil Liberties Union & United We Dream),
culminating in a curated event in Manhattan this fall with 300 videos plus live performances.
